Quality Improvement Plans and Resources
Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) or self-assessment plans provide an avenue for your service to assess its performance in delivering high quality education and care to children, which includes setting goals for continued improvement.
If you require more information, head to the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
Munch & Move Goals in your QIP
The Munch & Move Program recommends that services set goals in their QIP or self-assessment plans relating to healthy eating and physical activity. In line with the broader QIP or self-assessment plans, goals relating to healthy eating and physical activity should be reviewed annually.
We have a range of resources that can support your service to include healthy eating and physical activity goals in your QIP or self-assessment plan. See below for more details.
The Good for Kids Team encourages services to incorporate Aboriginal perspectives into the Munch & Move Program. To ensure that Aboriginal perspectives are authentic and meaningful, services should work with key Aboriginal partners to co-design their learning program, including the healthy eating and physical activities. Partners may include Aboriginal children and families, community members and organisations. Aboriginal co-designed learning programs benefit both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children.
This resource highlights the importance of building partnerships with Aboriginal stakeholders to deliver co-designed learning activities for the Munch & Move Program. This resource includes examples of potential learning activities relating to eating healthy and physical activity, and each of the activities are listed under the EYLF outcomes.
