Active Playgrounds

Supportive Outdoor Physical Activity Environment

Encouraging physical activity during school breaks has been identified as an effective method for boosting students' activity levels and promoting their overall health. The playground serves as a crucial space for students to engage in purposeful play, with well-marked game activities enhancing their motivation and fundamental movement skills. Playground markings have been supported by research demonstrating their ability to increase physical activity levels and energy expenditure among children, while also reducing instances of bullying, confrontations, and playground injuries.
