Munch & Move

What is the Munch & Move program?

Munch & Move is a NSW Health initiative that supports the healthy development of children birth to 5 years by promoting physical activity, healthy eating and reduced small screen time.

What’s involved in the Munch and Move program?

Munch and Move is all about supporting the health and wellbeing of children 0-5 years by embedding evidence-based policy and practices at your service. These key practices relate to healthy eating, breastfeeding, physical activity and small screen recreation. You can find further details on the 16 key practices as part of the Munch & Move program here. Many ECEC services find they are doing many of the practices already or that the practices can easily be embedded into their existing daily program or procedures. Our team is here to support ECEC services in the Hunter New England area with expert advice, training and resources.
